A couple of years ago when I was living with my parents before my Dad died of lung cancer, things were always hectic around supper. I'd come home from work at Lipham Music and try to take a 15 minute RE-CHARGE nap and it was just to hectic with my poor cancer stricken Dad on the phone to someone not being able to hear well and my mom, who'll we'll call Connie after her Hairstlylist's shop, telling me "you won't be able to sleep tonight if you don't get up now". These were rough days but it's a funny lifting song. It also has just a teaspoon of heartbreak love story that happened a year after he died.  Mix match makes sense.

On the new cd after the last song which is "Henrietta Marie" there is an alternate electric version with drums, bass and a killlersolo my dear friend, Nancy Luca recorded out in her home studio in L.A. Thanks, Nancy   gm

Don't Let The Rain Come In

                                                                                                                            (c)gsmcmillan

Connie's in the back and Mac's on the phone

and I'm itching to get some rest

They keep on talkin' til you get insight

don't ya know I'm soakin wet

Don't let the rain come in

Don't let the rain come in

Don't let the rain come in

Don't let the rain come in

there's a dark Starke sky so don't try to pretend

Don't let the rain come in

Voice in the back and my minds on the phone

and my eyes are always looking west

I'm ditchin' this thing and walking home

I see this as some kinda test

<CHORUS>

Round and a round and a round and a round I go

Clouds come around just in time for the midnight show

a little self pity turns to rain in the city

and a nor'easter blows and it blows and it blows and BLOWS
